  10. My grandparents came from Camporeale around the turn of the century: Baldassare Licata (born 1877) and Maria Liotta (born 1888). 2. Hi Anne, this is a very long longshot, I’ve been researching my great grandmother, her name was Vita Liotta, I don’t know very much about her or her background, she was from Camporeale, she married Santo Madonia and they had four children, one boy, three girls. The boy, Emmanuele, was my grandfather, he was also born in Camporeale in 1898. Vita and Santo migrated to Tunisia in 1900, they had the three girls there. Vita and Santo were both 21 years old when they married.
Liotta is a very uncommon name, and I was wondering if you have any more information about your ancestor, Maria Liotta. Could she be Vita’s younger sister?
Vita was from a wealthy background I understand, Santo was a farmer.
I’d love to hear from you, thank you for any information.
      Annie
